Vancouver,BC is a delightful place with plenty of 'non-touristy' spots to drive and hike to. One such place is Point Atkinson, and the trail head is hidden in a quiet and upscale suburb of West Vancouver. The rainforest trail opens out to the ocean on a small cliff, unfortunately the access is cut off beyond a point 'coz the lighthouse keeper's family maintains a private drive way. There was a weird reference to the first white kid born in British Columbia on an inscription.
We were fortunate to visit the place at dusk, and the dark clouds on the horizon combined with the sun's fading brilliance to present an enthralling sight. Again, my obsession with sepia is obvious here... but I'm sure it tells the story.

Very well shot, Shanky Panky! Yup I think sepia is good for this. You've gotto take me there sometime. :)
P.S: For some reason, it reminds me of RDB's song
"Bade Acche lagte hai
Yeh Dharti ,yeh nadiyaa, yeh rainaa aur...
...
... lighthouse!" :D
(What did you think, haan?)
Hmmm... Sangu... Without further evidence, I can't say whether sepia is good or not. Put up the original pic also. It reminds me of Big Sur when there was a lighthouse but all ways to that lighthouse was blocked because of it being private f&^%&$#% property. You should buy some land.
@ Ash: Damn. Lighthouse mujshe important ho gaya. I won't take you there po.
@ Junglee: Well, Im not claiming the sepia _is_ better... but this was a pretty ordinary sunset, no multicolored sky and all...so the sepia dosent tone down any of that stuff.
It certainly does tell the story! Very beautiful picture and place. :)
@ Abhi: Thanks, machi.
